Behar & Bechukotai - “On the mount” / “In My statutes”
Leviticus 25:1-26:2 / 26:3-27:34

This week’s double parsha begins with instructions given to Moses from God on Mount Sinai regarding the Sabbatical year, in Hebrew known as the Shemita, which occurred every seventh year. For this year all work and cultivation of the land is stopped and the produce that grows naturally is to be food for everybody, free and without payment being required.

Next the statutes and details of the Jubilee year are given. After seven cycles of seven years, in the fiftieth year, the Jubilee is declared. Work on the land ceases, all indentured servants are released and any property bought or sold reverts to its original owners, which served to prevent profit-greedy monopolies of land ownership. In addition to this, laws are given related to buying and selling land, money-lending and fraud, to govern the nation in set-apart and righteous business practices.

Bechukotai begins with a proclamation from Yah that if the people of Israel live according to His statutes, ordinances and commandments, they will reap prosperity and safety, but warns that exile, persecution and tribulation await them if they break the covenant that God had made with the nation.

When I was ‘younger ‘ and went to a youth camp … we memorized Matt 5, 6, 7 and had a game challenge to answer questions on those chapters . I will never forget it or the word !

I need to listen to this teaching again, and this time take notes. I absolutely appreciate and love the way you tied each verse in Matt 5 with the prophets of the OT. Thank you immensely 🙏👑🗡️🔥⚓🎯🍞

What an outstanding teaching - connecting the words of Yeshua to the Torah/Moses. I heard just a teeny bit from another teacher today, but wanted to know more...and...your video just showed up. I just shake my head sometimes at how God works...truly amazing.
Thank you (from the southern part of the U.S.) AND Shalom🌺

One of my favorite messages to date. One I will be sharing with others who tell me that Yeshua ended the Law. There’s no argument here that He came to preach it fully and take it from just our outward actions down into our hearts, so that we would walk jn the Spirit and not just the letter. Amein, Halleluyah!

Thank you for this most important study, once again the Ruach ha’Kodesh sings out the glory in scripture of our wonderful Abba Yah to those who are led to shema. The beauty in His word shines forth His truth. It is so wonderful to be free from the religion that hijacked the pure and inspired word of our Hebrew Father to their own destruction. It is almost the same as rabbinic Judaism did with the Tanakh and their false “oral” torah which led to the taḳḳanot of the Mishnah and Talmud which they hold in higher value that the Tanakh that our Master Yeshua and Sha’ul were so vehemently against, this is one of the reasons why the rabbinic (Pharisaic) Jews of today are still deaf and blind to Yeshua as the true Mashiach that Moshe spoke of in Deuteronomy 18:15.

Over the past few years, I have come to realise that the Bible we use today is usually identified as having two sections, the Tanakh (Hebrew scriptures) and the Brit ha’Dashah which is identified as the New, or more accurately described, the renewed covenant (or, to the Roman Churches the “Old” and “New” testaments). It is my belief that the only separation of these two chapters of the same library is temporal by approximately 450 years, the only difference is the flavour of their reading. The Brit ha’Dashah is the Apocalypse (Greek: αποκαλυπτικός. [apokalyptikós]) of the Tanakh and takes its rightful place in the inspired scriptures. (2Timothy 3:16, 17).

When we realise that there is no separation in the inspired word of the God who we worship and glorify it exposes the lies and deceit of the Jewish and Christian worldly religions and brings true shalom to all those who are obedient to the Creator and Almighty God YeHoVaH who we all love so dearly. It also blesses us with the insight, understanding and discernment that we can draw closer to Yah, especially in these increasingly troublesome days.

The Ruach ha’Kodesh speaks again!

שלום וברכה לכולכם
Peace and blessings to you all.

This is powerful teaching Joe. There is a phrase The New Testament is concealed in the Old Testament and the Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament. Found this so encouraging and enlightening. Thank you x

Shalom, What a peaceful and enjoyable message, thank you for all the hard work you put into that! Glory to God most high, in Christ Jesus name.

The law is beautiful and perfect, Psalm 19:7, Isaiah 42 indicates that he will make the law honorable, hallelujah! God be glorified, I love that scripture and I'm so glad could you repeat it many times throughout this teaching.

Reading Isaiah 51, I do have some questions about the heavens and the Earth, and the role of the heavens and earth passing away in relation to Matthew chapter 5:17-19

Google AI puts it this way
The scripture that best describes the Earth "waxing old" and passing away, along with people dying in a similar manner, is Isaiah 51:6 which states, "Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner."

Key points about this verse:

"Wax old like a garment":
This imagery conveys how the Earth will eventually wear out and become old, like an old piece of clothing.
"Die in like manner":
This emphasizes that just as the Earth will pass away, so will the people living on it.
Contrast with eternal salvation:
The verse concludes by saying "But my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished, " highlighting that God's salvation will remain even when the Earth fades away.

It appears that there's a similar writing in 2nd Peter 3: 10-12 Peter warns Christians that the day of the Lord will come suddenly and unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. He also instructs Christians to live holy and godly lives, and to look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.

Here is some more information about 2 Peter 3:10-12:

The day of the Lord
The day of the Lord is a reference to the return of Christ.

The heavens and earth
The heavens will disappear in a great tearing blast, and the elements will disintegrate in heat. The earth and all that is in it will be burnt up to nothing.

The new heavens and earth
After the destruction of the heavens and earth, a new heaven and earth will be established.

I find the emphasis on the passing away of the heavens and the Earth fascinating, and the elements melting with fervent heat, but then I found this in a word search on elements.
This word is used 7 times:

Galatians 4:3: "in bondage under the elements of the world:"
Galatians 4:9: "weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again"
Colossians 2:8: "of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not"
Colossians 2:20: "Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though"
Hebrews 5:12: "which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and"
2 Peter 3:10: "shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also"
2 Peter 3:12: "the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”
Thing that's the only place the word was ever used in the bible, that has to be what it means it wasn't talking about the elements around us but rather the rudiments the principles the fundamentals the oracles of judaism? At that time, like 1st Peter 4:8 the end of the age was proclaimed again and again and again even in Matthew 24 the end of the age The end of the age The end of the age had come, 1 John saying we know it's the last hour, etc etc

And Genesis 37 when Joseph had the dream, the Sun the moon and the stars bowed down to him and Jacob rebuked him saying that they would not bow down to him. Jacob knew the rule of the Sun the moon and the stars? In Genesis 1:14 God proclaimed the role of the Sun the moon and the stars to govern and to rule, was this carried over to the people?

When the kingdom of the Jews was taken from them in 70 AD, was this the end of the old covenant, the passing away of the heaven and the Earth? And the beginning of the New covenant, as proclaimed by Christ at the last supper in 1st Corinthians? I have a lot of questions about these matters, Hebrews 8:13, stating that what was waxing old was ready to pass away? And Hebrews chapter 12 he says that which could be shaken would be shaken that that which could not be shaken shall remain, the temporal system that was in place for a guiding and governing that was in the letter of the law, was corrupted by the Jews that were in charge, and the temple was torn down in 70 AD not one block was left upon another however the spiritual or heavenly Jerusalem? Remains unto this day, where we worship God in spirit and Truth in Christ Jesus name, where Christ speaks to us and his Spirit answers us in our prayer even as we are yet speaking, as stipulated in Isaiah 65 with the new heavens and the new Earth where he says as you are yet speaking I will hear you while you are yet speaking I will answer you. So my question remains, did this take place? It appears as though it has, but as a reader not a scholar I seek for the truth

If you've done any further teachings on this subject I would like to hear them out, until then may God bless you and keep you! And thanks again for the great work in Christ Jesus name

Thanks for all your had work and dedication, Love what you are doing!
Just a suggestion, could you guys move the camera back a little bit(?), sometimes your face goes out of frame, and it would look and feel much better for the audience to have a wider view of everyone.
🙂
God Bless!
Thanks!

Have you taught on going through the laws given to Moses one by one? We know the law was not done away with, but few actually teach the law and it’s many applications to us today. Thank you for this teaching 💕
