Hieratic Dragon OTK Deck Profile - September 2013

So far this deck has been very consistent and has won many duels.

Please note that since this video was made the deck immediately underwent changes starting with Genex Ally Birdman going in the Main Deck instead of the Side Deck and getting my hands on Labradorite Dragon made it easier to make Star Eater.

Reasons for using:
2/3 Cardcar D - It's cheap on ebay but after running them in a couple (ten) test duels they just screwed up the consistency
2 Maxx "C" instead of 3 - using 3 is cloggy
1 Wattailedragon/Luster Dragon #2 instead of 2 - Beware of 'Chain Disappearance'
2 Forbidden Lance instead of 3 - 3 is cloggy and not needed

I have a suggestion. You should run a 2x Dragon's Mirror and a 2x Five Headed Dragon in this deck. Reason? When your Hieratic monsters (the effect ones) in this deck are sent to the grave you basically can't get them back on the field and/or in hand. That's why Dragon's Mirror is good. You banish 5 dragons and get out that 5HD with 5ooo ATK. Very good for OTKs (or just go for Exodius). Also 2x Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. Good against Xyz.

Pot of Duality is back at 3. i'd run those over reckless. i can wait a turn usually. especially with all the hand traps u have. plus battle fader is good cause it gives u a tribute when ur in a tight spot.
