The Priory of the Orange Tree is so good. It looks really scary but it’s so accessible! And you cannot go wrong with lesbians and dragons

A book that fits both the unhinged women category and the horror category is Bunny by Mona Awad. It is about a Girl in a pretentious arts college and the girl clique that is with her in her creative writing course. The reading experience was really bizarre but also entertaining.
PS: i also loved the priory of the Orange tree, especially how the separate stories we start out with connect throughout the book.

‘My sister the serial killer’ it’s a delight with such an unhinged woman and I love it. Also kind of in the thriller genre!

boy parts by eliza Clark is an unhinged woman thriller i truly couldn't put down. I stayed up until 4am to finish it. this book completely screwed my sleep schedule but 10/10 would recommend

an unhinged women submission! they never learn by layne fargo is a new fav. it didn’t try or pretend to be more than it needed to be, it’s gay, the plot twists were clever, the ending was satisfying. the main character is a professor on a college campus who kills men accused of rape and dv, mixed pov with a student at the same university who witnesses her roommates assault at a party and gets increasingly violent revenge fantasies. also sapphic! it was 5 stars for me for the simplicity, satisfaction of the plot, and how quickly i was able to tear through it 🔪

ACOTAR is just a fun time as long as you don’t go in anticipating the world’s greatest novel or anything. Enemies to lovers is my favorite and I still enjoyed People We Meet on Vacation. And I’m excited to see what you think of The Priory of the Orange Tree because it’s on my TBR and I’m excited about epic fantasy SAPPHICS.

I couldn't even finish "My Year of Rest and Relaxtion". I tried reading her short stories collection "Homesick for Another World" and couldn't do it either, so kudos to those who do enjoy her! I really enjoyed "Animal" by Lisa Taddeo and "Her Body and Other Parties" by Carmen Maria Machado. Happy hot girl summer reading to everyone!

honestly I love the ACOTAR series — the first book is kind of predictable but in the second book it takes off. A lot of the writing is a little silly to me, but the characters are really well-developed and their relationships are great! I had a lot of fun reading them with my friends; you can absolutely fly through them all for one vlog!

Sorrow and Bliss by Meg Mason is my new favorite unhinged woman book! I think that book distills the whole reason people are even drawn to the genre... and it is one of those books I will think about forever.
