If you pull the wings outward gently at the very end, the body expands into a nice 3D shape! Also everyone remember origami takes a long time to master, don't give up it takes a lot of tries to get it right - you got this!

I am a residential contractor. Translation - I build houses for a living. Why, then, is this SO FRIGGIN HARD?! I thought initially it was because I was using premium (thick) printer paper, which obviously created some issues. Then this video shows the same stuff and they do it with no problem. Once in a while I will try something way out of my comfort zone just to make me better appreciate the many talents people can have. Origami truly is an art form and it takes a lot of time, patience, and paper to master it.
