Fighting Games are great! However lots of our favourite classic fighters might be just a little bit buggy, might have a glitch or two hanging around. Some can be pretty fun, some can be gamebreakers (very literally) so lets talk some of the greatest glitches in fighting game history!

So here we are with a video highlighting some of Fighting Games greatest glitches & bugs! Some are pretty funny, some can break the game both in terms of balance, or very literally and just crash the game itself, and they are all just a bunch of interesting bits of fighting game history to go through! So I compiled together some of the ones I consider some of the true greats and well... enjoy! Give the vid a watch, like if ya liked it, and let me know what you think!

My brother could do the Ruby Heart glitch every time. He used to play against my friend who was the local champ of MVC2 just so he could lock up the game to tick him off. Hilarious every time.

You actually CAN hit Gambit back down, but you need a teleport that puts you above the opponent. Spiral, for example.

I only ever heard the legends of roll cancelling, but seeing it actually described makes me wanna try the game

I think one of my favorite ways the Guile Handcuffs was referenced is that there's this indie fighting game called Verdict Guilty and it's gimmick is that every character has a unique mechanic grab, one character sets bombs on the opponent, one has a longer ranged grab, another one puts you in a stun state, etc. one of the characters prevents the opponent from acting with handcuffs.

Hulk's double crush Juggernaut's power up glitch in MvC2 are favorites because they unlock lore-accurate damage for two characters who, from a tier-perspective, desperately need it.

For those who don't know, Juggernaut can preserve a damage buff that is meant to disappear after one hit by tagging out. You still have to find a way to tag out quickly and safely but if you do, you've got an eye-wateringly powerful Juggernaut assist and DHC. Unfortunately, the devs behind the upcoming Marvel vs Capcom collection seem to have removed this glitch, which I think is a huge mistake. Juggs is never going to be as busted as Sentinel/Storm/Magneto/etc. He needs this.

Hulk's double crush applies the bulk of his Gamma Crush super twice if the opponent is hit in midair. It's one of the only things that makes him semi-viable.

Hasn't been a vid in the last few days. Been taking things a bit easy since Evo and the post-evo rush were super crazy, although I was piecing this vid together. Its a bit of a shame actually some of the really fun glitches I woulda liked to show here are just not feasible in a lot of ways cause patches are a thing and its hard to get the original version of a game unless you got the disk itself. Maybe thats something ill try in the future? The big 2XKO rush is gonna start soon so I figured we could do something a little different with todays video until then.
