I think this is the best budget downcountry bike.

I have two Rockshox entry level air forks. Those "discoloration" you mentioned was because of the shock oil residue. (Dark is wet) after a ride, wipe the stanchions with isopropyl alcohol, and the discoloration will be gone.

Price on the 27.5 is $1399!....I am almost at 2000 miles in mostly rocky southwest and no problems! Went to 2.4s and Stan's Tubless and taller bars. The brakes are good once they bed in unless you are heavier, but I'm 135 so no problem. Great bike for the money and ''FUN'' to ride.

I had a Siskiu D7 around 4 years back. A cracking bike for the Money, and a great bike to keep upgrading as the components wore out.

Sold it to a friend, and it’s still going strong.

Boostinator conversion kits exist to convert both front and rear non-boost to boosted width. Make sure you also get the boost brake adaptor kit for the rotor as well, so it's spaced out to the right caliper location.
When changing brakes, take a shifter cable and run it fully inside the hose of your existing brake caliper before you pull the caliper out the port. The cable will fish through - then just simply fish the new brake through using the cable.
The Recon rebound lever thing can sometimes fall off, and the damper goes wonky after a couple months hard riding. But a great budget fork nonetheless.

I'm fairly certain that you can get spacers for the front wheel if you want to swap the fork.

I bought my son a 24” Polygon Relic Evo MTB and was extremely impressed by it. The packing was fantastic and the quality/value of the bike for the price is impressive.

I have the D6 and really enjoy it. Its handled everything I've thrown at it so far. With the way parts are I'm riding what I have till its pretty toasted or prices and supply come back down to earth.

Such a rad bike, had my eye on it when availability was non existent so I bought my friends Giant. I like what you said about mtb not having to be risking your life every ride. My favorite ride is flat and shady but I still love to shred a bike park. Which we will do together at Snow Summit one day, or skypark.

Found your video while researching the Siskiu D7 and you did a great job explaining the setup, features, ride quality, and where the bike fits in the budget/value/skill level plot. Bought it last night and made sure to confirm with customer service that you would get credit for the affiliate sale. Thanks for the great video and good luck with your channel!

Nice review. I ride the 2021 D7 and its a lot of fun. I did change out the rear shock to a heavier coil because I'm a heavy guy and I was bottoming out the shock a lot. Took it to Spider Mountain this summer and it was awesome!

It seems that your looking at the "actual seat tube angle" instead of the "effective seat tube angle" when comparing the seat angles. The effective angle is much more useful than the actual because effective is measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the middle of the seat, meaning the effective angle is what actually determines how steep the seat angle feels when your pedaling.

Nice review, and nice to see a review of the bike in the context of "general use" xc trails. I've been eyeballing one of these for next year and similar to you, 90% of my riding is on pretty mellow xc trails. I got a Polygon Premier 4 earlier this year just to kind of get my feet wet and I've overall been impressed with the build quality and value for the price.

Just put boost spacers in the front wheel if u want to upgrade it. Works really well on my non-boost hub!

Another good one man👍👍. Congrats on finally hitting that wave! It wont be long until you are mentioned right along with Berm Peak. I believe I said that you would pass us this year, and you said it would be next year. Well do you want to put a friendly wager on that?😜 Remember that you are supposed to wave at us as you pass by😂👍.

8:08 The plastic tab thing is the tool to adjust the rebound, you pull it out and put it in your tool bag for when you need it.
