It has always pained me with De Ligt that people act as if he’s in his prime and can’t continue to grow. Always very quick to point out his mistakes but never quick to acknowledge how talented he is for a CB who hasn’t even turned 25 yet.

I am a Bayern fan and a juve supporter and I belive de light is an amazing defender, I hope he stays at bayern. Him and Dier performed really well this season, we would have never lost to real if Kim didn't make easy mistakes in the first leg, in the Allianz Arena we were dominating them. IF he goes to utd i think he will fit very well, he is a really well rounded defender and he always gives 100% for the club. I always belived he could end up being the greatest CB of all time, I really hope he fulfills his potential.

As much as the pressure of playing for Man United is really high, it has probably been lower in recent times as compared to that of Bayern and Juventus which had legendary defenders like Chiellini and Bonucci. These teams were dominating in their respective leagues and going far in the UCL too. At United on the other hand, if de Ligt can be an upgrade over the likes of Maguire and Lindelöf he would be an instant hit and loved by the fans. If he signs for United let’s just hope that he gets injured less often.
