Making a Career in the World of MMA

I've been getting tons and tons of messages from fighters, coaches, gym owners, and aspiring personal trainers asking me how to grow their social media following, convert followers into paying customers, and close sales. I just want to first say this: remember that the skills and expertise that fighters have are VERY unique and highly sought after -- these skills usually take years and years to develop, so you should be paid for your time spent studying!

Here is what I recommend when it comes to the best jobs for fighters, and ways to make extra cash so that your work and your training don't conflict. And remember that social media is your friend, and a damn powerful (and free) marketing tool.

Check out the links below to learn more about growing your social media following and selling your services.

It definitely is a separate skill. I know guys with 10x the knowledge and experience I have in fitness or martial arts that cant sell a session to save their life.

This means allot to me.. recently just became a certified boxing Coach, and a Muay Thai Fitness Instructor months ago, but what I'm doing for awhile is studying, reading, practicing, the arts of Boxing, Muay Thai, combat related conditioning, I believe knowledge is power and would want to learn daily before I ever train someone first! But again, thank you Shane for the tips, you and others in YT are inspirational

Long time fan. Just started my own martial arts business a few weeks ago. Really experiencing the grind of getting students, marketing, having no money etc. at the minute but loving every second. This video is exactly what I needed. Thanks. Jake.

This is more than a tutorial on how to finance combat training, It's a tutorial on how you can prosper at anything. You can literally apply these tips to anything in life.

Just turned 17, right now im studying for some big exams so i cant start mma.Had been doing boxing for 1.5year and a little bit kickboxing.Loved it and im planning on starting mma when im finished with the exams in 2 months.See, If i had started mma when i was like 12 right now i would be already into fights and i wouldnt have problem risking my future being a fighter so i need to pass the exams to get into a university. While im in the university i'll start mma. It'll be very hard managing both mma (the tiredness etc) with studying in the university (I wont study hard the first year anyway but yea) but i want this a lot.Its difficult to do a carrier in mma/boxing in Greece but not impossible

Being a kickboxing trainer is my dream job, currently 19 with about almost 7 years of training. Currently trying to get my fights in so I can have experience. Even if I don't become the best, the important is to know what is like competing, how's the pressure and what heigh cutting does to you and your body. In a few years I hope I can be at a gym, teaching people, even if it's only begginers, I want to teach as much people as I can
