Girl I’m the same!!! I completely misjudged mafia and dark romances. But Sophie Lark and Danielle Lori made me change my mind about all things mafia and now I’m OBSESSED!! And naturally, it made me love dark romances too. Something about it that’s just delicious. 😆😍

I think I can also tolerate/like certain tropes that I'm not a fan of IF the author does them well. But others I just don't vibe it. When I read romance I like seeing "healthy couples" and when they are toxic I just get angry 😅 can't control it (so no mafia for me i think lol).
And regarding surprise pregnancy tropes in contemporary, I'm like "but use protection, whyyyy didn't you" 😬 but recently I read one I didn't particularly mind. It was called "Almost priest" by Lydia Michaels and it was an entertaining book ^^
But I'm really glad you now have more tropes you like. It's a win-win situation 😋

I just recently re-read Untouchable. I know what you mean. I know many people hate this book, but for me, I devour it. Not sure what it says about me. 🤷‍♀

Pregnancy! Yes, I love pregnancy in a book why, idk. Everywhere I turn people are saying how much they hate it. I'll take it any day will totally look up you reck sounds great.

My recs on "suprise" Pregnancy:
An Arranged Marriage by Jo Beverly historical, trigger in the beginning, contains one if my absolute favorite side characters in a book the Aunt (if I could be her).

Reckless by Hannah Howell scot, historical, captive.

The Lasarian by Diane Duvall. aliens, baby, vampires.

AND YESSSS! I hate love-triangle!!! I HATE IT! They're just so unfair, I don't know.
I also just read polyamorous/harem nowadays, exactly because everyone end well with someone to love.
And sugar daddies is one of my favourite books, Jade West is a queen.
