I Finally Did It - Stardew Valley

A field full of meteorites is something people have been asking me to do since the beginning of time. To do this would take thousands and thousands of years in game, and my farthest file is a little over 200 years.. So using a few handy mods I managed to accomplish this.. STILL took quite an effort. Stardew Valley gameplay with my commentary as always!

Yeah. I can tell you from experience that meteors beat trees. I had one land right on top of the only full grown apple tree I had.

Imagine starting a new farm, and by some unholy bad luck, 3 meteors land in the first month around your farm house exit, before you get to upgrade your pickaxe, and you're stuck forever.

And here I was thinking "I finally did it" meant you'd finally found a dino egg legit.

DF, when you broke the meteors in a spiral pattern at the end, were you subtlely trying to show us your downward spiral into insanity?

Are we not going to question the homeless man standing in the dark at 3:03 ?

Hey DF, just noticed something strange that happened in my game. I accidentally put a copper ore into my seed maker and out popped an item "Weeds" that I've never seen before. It's consumable and restores 38 energy and 15 health. Each copper ore produces 2 of these. An iron ore produces 3 of them that have a different appearance but have the same stats (also randomly produced ancient seeds). Gold ore doesn't go in. Iridium ore produces something COMPLETELY unexpected. When sold, the weeds are classified as other and aren't worth anything. Just thought this was worth bringing to your attention because I have 500 hours on this game and never noticed this before. I didn't see anything about it on the wiki either.

Does anyone else wonder how many files DF has?

I like how you didn't cut out the part where you fell unconscious because of all the bombs you placed.

The amount of time it would take to get an entire field of meteorites is about 1 year, 252 days, and 10 hours real-time.
This number is assuming a player never sleeps, stops time, or stops the game, as well as having _perfect_ luck with meteorites always going into a free space and lining up in neat little rows.
Assuming a player only spends 42 seconds out of bed at a time (1 hour Stardew Valley time), that number is closer to 30 days and 20 hours. Again, only if everything goes perfectly.

For DF's very conservative estimate of about a thousand in-game years to fill the whole field, the number--again assuming the player is out of bed 42 seconds at a time--is 54 days and 10 hours.

Again, remember that the player is never once not playing the game during these times. The number goes up drastically when you account for time spent not playing Stardew Valley.

These numbers took a very long time to figure out, since I had numerous errors in my calculations (such as assuming Stardew Valley has 365 days in a year) and wasted time doing calculations DF already did, but I'm just glad to have figured it out. Now I can stop wasting my life wondering about this.

The sound of him collecting all the wood is so satisfying.

I just had a thought: What does having 1, 000 (or 10, 000) foraging do to the harvest of Salmonberries and Blackberries? I know if you boost your foraging to 13 with food, you can get an extra berry per harvest (three berries at level 8-11, and four berries at 12-13). I NEED TO SEE A BERRY EXPLOSION.

The more I watch of these the more I wonder of the ancient, long-forgotten time when you played Stardew Valley normally. What was that like?

Only DF would complain about the game not breaking

When he said “pure meteor” I keep thinking it sounded like “ pure Michigan”

DF: "I'm never gonna fill my field with meteors."

Mod community: "Oh really?"

DF: "Ok I'm gonna fill my whole field with meteors."
