Watch live as SpaceX launches U.S./French SWOT satellite

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission for NASA at 6:46 a.m. EST (1146 GMT) on Friday, Dec. 16 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in Calfornia. The launch was delayed from Friday. The Falcon 9’s first stage booster will return to Landing Zone 4 a the West Coast launch site. SWOT will conduct the first global survey of nearly all water on Earth’s surface.
