My bumblebees eat vermetid snails and I have never seen one on another snail that hadn't been already overturned by a crab and killed.

Great video, really solid advice on some of the nuisance pests of the hobby. This made my saved list as I am getting ready to get back into the hobby after a 20 year hiatus.

Cyanobacteria comes on when there is low nitrates and phosphates not high!

Thank you for the green hair Algae and bryopsis bit! You just helped diagnose my tank and gave me a better method to tackle it. You’re the bomb diggity!

Red slime algae is not from high nutrients. It's an imbalance of bacteria diversity. This happens when you P04 and N03 bottom out to zero, and your bacteria feeds off bacteria instead of nutrients. Bryopsis looks totally different from hair algae. If you look at pic of air algae it looks like hair and is bright green. bryopsis is dark green and has branch leaves on it. They don't look the same at all.

use flucanazol 4 times the recommended dose an dkeep it running without water change for 5 weeks. it will kill off all pest. (Did in my 2 times (SPS tank) did not lose any coral and cleaned all up

An Australian stripey also works for aptaisia it doesn't eradicate them but atleast it keeps them from overpopulating your tank

Recommendation on how to treat. I have 180gal that I took over from my dad who passed away 5 years ago.

Awesome video. I have a question that's probably been asked a thousand times. Where did you get the light shades?

We have a similar tank to you - the 200g Waterbox 7225 peninsula. 2 years in and we have an aiptasia explosion. We have been using Aiptasia X but after like the third bottle we added 10 berghia nudis about a week ago. I will do my best to remember to let you know how we get on as we have 2 leopard star wrasse (aka peacock wrasse) one male and one female. Wish us luck with Cyril and Cynthia! They are usually tucked into (the sand) bed before lights out. 😂

I made the mistake of buying some pretty mushrooms that had some ugly brown palys on them. Being a beginner at the time I thought cool free stuff!! The owner of the store said that he would give me the palys for free since I was buying the mushrooms. Turned out to be not cool!! Three years later, the palys are all over the place, and I constantly have to scrub the rocks to get them off. Fortunately there has been no problems with palio toxins when I scrub the palys off the rocks. They have not affected the other corals. Also, at one point in time I bought some brown star polyps, which are now also all over the place I have to scrub them down on a regular basis also. It’s really a pain in the wazoo!!
