I love your shack! I'm stuck in an old 10' x 11' den, and I had to install several runs of conduit under the eaves for 120, 240, and antenna RF & rotator cables.

As a suggestion, you may want to remount your outlets higher. When I wired up a radio shop room built inside an airplane hangar, we put all the outlet 3 feet high for the desks and 4 foot high for the work benches that had equipment shelves, so that we now have clear access to the outlets. We didn't want to climb under the furniture to plug our equipment in as there was no electrical equipment under the desks and workbenches anyway.

Happy trails,
Larry

Thanks for the update, I agree add the outlets now much easier than later.

Thank you for your nice videos, your channel is one of my favourites in tube ☝️ I am beginner amateur from Finland, and it is nice and very interesting to follow your building projects and how you do things there in States. Keep up good work and these good videos 🤩 And i must say, i really enjoy your firewood and faith video ❤️ Best regards: your brother in Christ, Tommi Haapala, 73

Great vid,
& some good ideas... are you not going to have an outside (reversed 220) for generator ?
And might want some backing for monitors/TV, vertical sandwich 2x4's or horizontal (2x6's can be put in after insulation).. if your bathroom is only sink & w/c might want to look at an "on demand" 110v (undersink) waterheater... you can run one (cold line) to sink & split ( I don't suggest it but if going with a pedestal it will need horz backing... "2x6 can't miss".).... hoping to get around Baker & then to sunstone park later this year...
Stay Safe & God Bless

Add twice as many receptacles as you think you will need. Be generous with circuit assignments. Follow NFPA 70 guidelines for demand loads. Do not bond N-G busses together unless you have a direct feed from your service transformer.

Hi, Nicely done videos. Question, did you do a ground rod or Ufer ground at the sub-panel? I did not see a ground conductor in that sub. I just saw the video about the towers that failed. I had never heard or seen anything before about that failure with the cable in those thimbles that most use. Thanks for the information. I am sending some emails with a link to friends so they too can see your video about the towers. 73, Jim W6LG

Been watching your videos for a while now. The other day I was taking out some prized qsl cards out of a folder to hang on the wall and was surprised when I had one of yours from years back. Looked like it came a heck of some snow storms there according to the pic on your card, 73

Great job at wiring I wish I was that good but 220 for a ham Shack? I can understand for a hot water heater or something like that but why so many 220 Outlets?
