Beautiful work ladies! I am not sure which is my favorite part of your Floss Tube. Maybe it is the "Thumbs Up" portion. It really hit me how creative women, grab the best parts of life. The listing of the things we love in the back of a notebook, the tidying up, and the gift of seeing color in so much of the everyday parts of life. Many call it work, but it's not, it's contentment in all of it. It is what brings happiness to life, over and over, day after day. Thanks for making my mind flow into gratefulness for the beauty of everyday life and spurring me on to go sit and pick up my needle and plan what will be on tomorrow's schedule as build another bit of happiness one stitch at a time.

Another great video! Anna looked she was having on the catwalk! 😊. Love all the finishes! I think I need to add Summer Bower to my collection! For the Seasons of the Heart piece, I think it’s lovely as is with the basket colir being the same as the doir. It such a sweet design. And the change in fabric choice was sure a great decision! Have a wonderful summer ladies, and I look forward to the next video!

Hi ladies! Enjoy your summer vacation!
I learned a trick years ago for getting threads to lay flat. Run them across a slightly dampened sponge. I cut a very small piece of a household sponge and keep it in a size appropriate plastic container. These "tools" actually used to be sold at some cross stitch retailers. There was/is an item called "The Stripper" that is a plastic thimble with a small piece of the soft side of hook-and-loop tape stuck to it along with a small plastic dish. The idea is, is to dip the soft side of the hook-and-loop in water contained in the little fish, then run your floss across the thimble. I've used this method on silks, hand dyed/overdyed cottons/silks, DMC. I attempted the bees wax and just didn't like the "gunky" look it gave to some threads and took the luster from metallics I used.
Very nice projects that you're showing off!
The embroidered boxes that Katie Strachan are sublime! If you step into that realm, I commend you!Great catwalk and clothing! Fun!

Thread conditioner is not supposed to discolor fibers. Also try railroading youR stitches. Big difference!

Congratulations on the wedding! And you both looked incredibly chic! What did you have in those shot glasses??
As to blocking - yes, it does remove wrinkles, in addition to removing distortion and squaring up the design. But the other great way to get a wrinkle out - like if you need to remove the scrunch from an area to work on it - is to spritz lightly with cold water, then press with your iron on the linen setting, dry, no steam. Works wonders, so much better than the steam setting. For finishing I'll usually do this after blocking just to get it as nice and smooth as possible.
Loved your episode - all your finishes and the fabulous Red Deer Sampler!!!! - but can I just say how fabulously professional your show notes are? Beautifully done, and so much better than a wall of text in the description box (guilty!).

Another fab video. I love hearing all that you two do. Your stitched pieces are lovely, as well as the sewn and knitted pieces. I was thinking of doing the Etching piece in a rectangular shape and loved hearing you suggest it too! I will post my schools out SAL progress soon on IG. Enjoy the tea, peaches and travels.

I bought the “seasonal etchings.” I ended up giving it to my daughter who fell in love with it. I can’t wait to see her work. Yours is lovely.
