Everyone's winning!
This match gives good visibility to the sport.
If it can drive other athletes to try, its all good.

It's easy to tell from the comments who has followed Brian's strong man career. He has always only showed what he wants you to see! Brian will take the win.

Brian, even in strongman, didnt post much on his training leading up to any competition. He lets the hard work do the talking on show day. I think people are gonna be surprised

I guess someone has to be on Eddie's side. Just to give him a chance.

One thing not mentioned, is Brian's Size advantage. Long levers, huge hands, grip strength, specific advantage for arm wrestling. And cannot underestimate Devon as a trainer, I don't think anybody in the game knows more than Devon. I'm rooting for both men, massive fan of each of them. Just hope it's a close match and we get some wins on each side.

8:00 this was something I thought about the moment that match was announced. When two guys that strong and that inexperienced are matched up at the table, the chances of an injury increase dramatically.

As someone who had a devious start into AR and took a lot of wrong detours before I really knew something, I learned two lessons that might be universal for newbies who rely on figuring out things primarily on your own: 1, most lifts you are doing won't work or translate to the table before you really understand exactly from where you are exerting your force(know how to pull). 2, you need a fool-proof way to know how to pull and feel where your force is generated, not a detailed, philosophical way to inspire you more on your non-existing ideas. Abstract knowledge will (almost always) confuse you and drive you to some pseudo imitation training that you think is working but actually not, because you are not hitting the correct chain, however similar it might seem to your untrained eyes.

How awesome is it to see Brian torquing away on Devon, who’s standing there talking like he’s holding a beer.

I don't think Bryan is showing all of his training. I definitely agree it will be a good match, no definite winner.

Brian looks super clunky when he’s training with Devon who is stonewalling him while teaching him at the same time, Eddie would look just has awkward if he was training against people far superior than him, Brian top roll looked great in his mock match because… he’s was armwrestling a lower level opponent.

I don’t know if anyone here follows the UFC, but Dana White made slap fight a major thing. Imagine if he can do the same thing with arm wrestling more people would watch it. He would have all the arm wrestler staying in the house like they do with the slap fighters. Imagine people like Devon Travis, michael and others. I can keep naming living in the house super matches every other weekend. That would be TV gold. It would destroy the slap fight numbers. Brian and Eddie getting involved is what will make Dana here about this and other small time promoter is already talking about it

Arm wrestling is in every British working class boozer up and down the land, Eddie's been arm wrestling since he was a little kid.

Brian's amateur experience? I think would depend on what cultural background he comes from? But as a strongman he might have started gaining experience there, but the risk injury when your purpose is to compete in strongman makes the amateur group much smaller.

That video u saw of Brian Devon showed me that they pulled a lot. So much the people in the background including Auden weren't even paying attention. Devon can be a really good coach especially with Auden watching from further back. Brian is a very fast learner so I'm guess what they post and what we'll see are two different things. It also could have been Brians first experience getting stopped. Id say it's easier to have good form if you are in control.

I respect these guys opinion but I gotta say this feels an awful lot like they are trying to keep interest up on what will likely be a non-match. Brain beat Eddie pretty handily back before he even started learning to pull. Back when they were just fooling around. So all of Eddies so called experience didn't seem to have amounted to much. More importantly, Eddie has only been able to commit a fraction of his time to arm wrestling, while preparing for a fight. Meanwhile Brian has been focusing on arm wrestling for the better part of a year. And lets not even talk about all the signs of injury that Eddie has been showing in his videos.
I like Eddie and hope it turns out to be a good match, but I just don't see it being anything but a stunning defeat.

Brian's grip strength is off the charts. Eddie has West and grip issues from injury .

Since Devon only showed one pull with Brian, I bet you anything that he said, "Hey, let's film one where you look like a total noob!". I wouldn't put it past them. Brian also does the thing where he shows only what he wants others to see.

I don’t think Brian gets low enough under/below the table when he tries to pin! You gotta get down low when you’re pinning someone with a top roll! Eddie looks good with his form and keeps the same angle with his entire body the whole way down! Brian doesn’t keep the same position with his body the lower he gets into the pin!

I don’t know, when i was watching that brian shaw supermatch on his channel, in the 2nd round when he was in the strap it looked very impressive, all his levers and advantages came into play there, looked promising.

Eddie is one of the strongest in the world in terms of static strength.
Hook and back pressure combo is the best move for him imo, he can generate insane force without much movement
