Well, no for my case…I’m a refugee arrived in the mid 80s at 13. Going to school and start working at 15 (yes, illegally) and gone to College (with 45 thousands student loans) working for Texas Instruments after college. Single Father in 2001 👨‍👧‍👦…kids are in college now. I’m still paying for my student loans. I’m a City Custodian now…i own nothing and still paying my student loans. Hopefully retiring in 20 years with enough to get by.
BTW, I’m Asian American 🇺🇸 if that makes any difference. Great Teacher!!!

"Marry rich." Lmao, yeah, easy for a girl to practice hypergamy than for a guy to do so, especially if she's up there in the looks department. One thing that isn't mentioned in this discussion is the influence of individual IQ. As much as we want to believe that work ethic is the only factor, you're disregarding innate, measurable cognitive differences. It's a dismal fact, but you can't change how smart you are. You can stifle a smart person's potential by not educating them, but you can't raise a stupid person's IQ.
