This song reminds me of Mariah Carey's I Don't Wanna Cry from her debut album in 1990. Narada Michael Walden did the beat production on Carey's I Don't Wanna Cry and Shanice's I'm Cryin. Both songs were hits for Walden as they should have been. Two quality songs from brilliant singers who were just starting their commercial recording careers in the New Jack Swing era (Shanice in 1986 and Carey in 1989).

I love this song so much. My first love had this album and he would play it for me. When he passed away, this was one of the songs that stood out most. December This year would be 23 years since he passed away and I’m still so in love with him and I hate the fact that he’s gone. I love you so much Walston Lewis AKA Junior. RIP
