Dude thank you so much for this video! I’ve been a bar/wedding dj for coming up on 3 years now and since watching this and your other tutorial videos I bought a mixer and purchased serato (switching from virtual dj)
I have gotten nothing but compliments and my bookings have gone way up. All because of learning how to use cue points and beat match to speed mix.

Great video Rick, very useful tip. Also for DJ’s who don’t want to go back into their large back catalog of musics and put cue points on all songs. Mixed in Key (last two versions) will analyze the song and automatically put in 8 cue points based on the first beat, intro, breaks and outros. It’s not perfect but it’s a good start.

good stuff...hey i'm working on some special songs that requires more than 8-cuepoint and i've already got the hotcue-16 extension but i'm using DJC INP. 300 with 8 cuepoints buttons one each deack, how can i use it's 8 buttons for hotcue-16 extension? Thanks in advance.

I will play for about 30 people in an outdoor venue. I'm going to rent two qsc k12 and a kw181 sub. 1) how will my basic all-in-one Hercules input 300 sound with these? Is the sound card good enough to give a good quality or at least decent sound? Or do I absolutely need a mixer

One question on your 3rd cue point can that be in the middle of the bar?

Great video man, not many views but it can help to many beginner Djs/ people who want to get advice on live mix.
