Useful Blues Guitar Licks In The Key of G

In this video, I'm sharing some acoustic blues techniques and tips I've been teaching lately. First, we'll start with a simple country shuffle loop I put together, keeping the tempo slow so it's easy to follow. Then I explain that blues is the root of so many different kinds of music, and I'm trying to pass on some useful moves you can incorporate into your playing. Next, I demonstrate a basic blues progression in G, moving to C7 and D7, and then show a couple of turnarounds. I emphasize the importance of having a vocabulary of licks that work in different keys, noting how each key has its own particular sound on acoustic guitar.
