Answer : AB = 10cm

Explanation:

To find : AB ( chord )
Given :
AP is 10cm and AP and PB are tangents from ext. Point P
& Angle APB is 60°
So,
PB=10cm ( tangents from external point are equal )
So Angle BAP =Angle PAB ( equation 1 ) (angles opp. To same side are equal ) then
In Triangle ABP,
Angle A +B+P = 180°
Angle A + Angle A + P = 180°
2A + 60° = 180°
2A= 180° -60°
2A=120°
A=60°=B

As all the angles of triangle are equal and 60° so it is a equilateral triangle .
Therefore, AB = AP = PB = 10cm.

We can also solve it by using trigonometry
Where PO is the angle bisector for 60°
So we have two 30°s each where sin 30 = 1/2
So so 1/2×10 + 1/2×10 = 10cm
