"Customer called for a leak in the boiler room." So I took a leak in his boiler room. Customer is always right.

Once the boiler itself is compromised, it cannot be repaired so always sell them a new boiler. walk away if they rebuff, way too much liability

Always love dealing with the type of bs where the instructions make less sense than it would be to build the actual thing from scratch, thankfully YouTube is a wonderful place and you're guaranteed to find a 50 y.o. plumber with 40 years of experience showing you how to do something like that step by step, those guys are the real heroes.

"IKEA would've been disappointed" has got to be one of the hardest hitting phrases I've heard in a long while

I'm 60, I've never heard of the term Knock down boiler. Had to look it up.

I do boiler installs, plumbing for water and sewer, and electrical for residential homes.
It pays $100 an hour, so I can't complain.
I love watching your projects! The commentary is relatable. The fixes are professional, and I learn something helpful in my line of work!
Thank you! 🫡👍

hydronyc, broski: I've repaired boiler leaks with Nonno. taking the boiler sections apart so we could reseal them would usually fix it as long as there were no cracks in the cast. he was old school and would sometimes use flaxseed oil to polymerize the leak inside, too. there was a bunch of tricks he had for boilers.

Bro you are the bomb! Never guarantee old shit. Give a price for new & walk away. They'll call or not. No love lost!

I like me a good story. I like to keep my interactions with the customer straight to the point. Concise evaluation and no hassle from the customer. 💪🏼👍🏼 everyone is happy

Nice job broski! Only 7 steps and it looks like a nice clean place. That would be the only reason I would ever do another boiler. Some places are just rat-traps.

I usually enjoy your videos because of how you narrate, but I just gotta say this one was exceptional, as a retired tradesman I laughed my ass off!

I always used to overspecify boilers. Once you get things like leaks you know that they're working too hard. Overspecify and you get one that can reasonably comfortable heat your building and water.

I love your videos. As a home owner with a lot of plumbing challenges these really help me diy as well as know when to call a professional and what to expect

IKEA makes extremely clear instructions, and yet I have so many clients that cannot decipher the instructions and end up calling me. I’m at the point where I barely use instructions for IKEA.

Your videos are great. And your installations seem professional. Your aditude is also so familiar. I am a licensed electrician. I see the same ideas in your jobs as mine. Thanks for all the videos.
