Kili, my Senegal parrot here, is going to show you how a bird can bowl. Alright. Good bird. Now, bowling is actually one of the easiest tricks you can teach a parrot because all it really involves is pushing the ball off the starting board and the ball does the rest of the work.

If you set up the pins right and set up the stand right, the ball should roll straight to the pins. And it really just comes down to being a matter of teaching your bird to push on the ball in the first place. That's where our trusted target stick comes in. So, what we're going to do is we're going to target the bird to touch near the ball and then we can keep going and proceed to teaching the bird to target and push the ball. Target. Good bird.

By targeting the bird to the ball, it teaches them to get their beak on it. And you just have to experiment a little with where you've got to put the target tick so that the bird's beak comes in contact with the ball and pushes it off. The important thing's that the bird comes at the ball straight and pushes it straight. If they comes at it from a side angle, they'll tip it over, it won't roll straight and you won't get the effect you're looking for. Kili, target. Good bird. Alright, Kili, target. Good bird.

And then, eventually you don't even need to use the target stick. You just have the bird come up and press the ball. Good bird. And then, once they know the trick you can go back to setting up the pins. No point in wasting your time setting up the pins when the bird doesn't even know how to do the trick.

Teaching your parrot to bowl is actually one of the easiest tricks you cean teach because all they have to learn to do is push the ball. The setup and the ball does all the rest of the work. And it's just a really impressive trick. The hardest part ends up being finding a bowling set that's the right size for your parrot. Alright. Get the ball. Good birdy. Alright.
