New fossilized skull of Yunxian Man found in central China

China’s National Cultural Heritage Administration has announced the discovery of a relatively well-preserved ancient human fossilized skull from the early Paleolithic period, believed to be the most intact specimen from homo erectus of that age found in inland Eurasia so far. The discovery of a one-million-year-old Homo erectus skull is expected to open up new clues into the history of human evolution, with scientists looking to utilize high-tech equipment in their studies of the precious skull to uncover secrets of the past.
