I would rather be over prepared than not at all. Thank you and you aren’t the only one saying this

Just found you, just joined. Central Florida panhandle here. Glad you are out there. We remember Michael like it was yesterday. Hoping this will be a lesser system. Press on and God bless. Phil.1:6!

Safe to say right now any place along the gulf coast should be doing initial preps and have more extensive measures on stand by when we get more pinpoint guidance.
Fellow HAM operators, probably a good time to check your gear and portable radios as they may be needed very soon.

I'm going to prep and keep my eye on Jim Cantore. I don't want to be any where Cantore goes.

Thank you for sharing your faith while you try and let us know what the weather may do - God definitely protected my family here in SW Louisiana during Hurricane Francine and I know that He is faithful!

Appreciate you being thorough, but I appreciate you not being a clickbait generator with fear mongering titles.

October is going to be a very busy weather month which will naturally bring us the Cold weather. Something I used to see was that if something Reached Colorado, snow storms/blizzards, then Louisiana was next in line without a doubt. And if it gets Near Southern Baja California, then Louisiana was in sight. I just know we'll be expecting 2 storms for sure. Hopefully minor ones that just bring us cooler weather. Thank you.

People who live along the coast have absolutely no excuse for not being prepared for any disaster. You should have enough supplies on hand to last you AT LEAST one week without access to food or other supplies. Make sure you have enough medication, food and water to last. Don’t wait until a disaster is eminent. Be prepared!

I am preparing, but my anxiety is off to the races....
will it be tomorrow before more of a lock on those steering patterns...
Also, how are people expected to evacuate safely with no notice from network sources?
People are tied down to jobs, struggling financially, and may not have adequate it's an extremely hard decision for many...it's a mess.
Thank you.

Yes, it was like yesterday when Michael hit and changed everything for my family. It was supposed to be a cat too, and it strengthened it to a four and no time so I appreciate the heads up because groceries will be scarce by Tuesday.

I live in the Fort Walton area in Florida I have already went to the store and got batteries and certain canned goods around here we don't wait until the storm is at our doorstep to go to the store. From having two hurricanes destroy everything I own I take this very seriously and the amount of hurricanes we've had. Hurricane opal and Hurricane Ivan destroyed my life Ivan wasn't as bad as opal for my family but it was still bad. And each hurricane you learn earlier prepare is better. Getting the generators ready getting the extension cords out or you can just grab and go and getting the portable air conditioners and making sure everything works and everything is good before the storm even gets in the Gulf. When we are told it's possible for it to hit near us. Now everybody's talking about where this thing's going makes me sick to my stomach. Because we live near the water only a couple miles from it that means we get straight line winds straight off the water.
