If your windshield washer pump is not working we will demonstrate how to take it apart, how to test it, and how to fix it. This windshield washer pump came out of a BMW. The pump was working fun but the tank was leaking. After inspecting the windshield washer pump we found out that it was internal leak. We took the pump apart and fix our leak.

Success! My pump was filled with water, badly rusted armature and the circuit board barely recognizable. This ws a Lexus pump and only the armature was removable. The magnets are glued to the case. Prying didn't work to open the case, but using a small screwdriver on an angle with light taps on the seam opened it without damage.The video was of great value in doing this repair. Cleaned, sanded, sealed, lubricated, and reassembled it now works fine.

thanks this was really useful. btw what would you recommend for lubrication on the pump before reassembly? mine was seized with some light signs of rust, so i freed it up with some brake cleaner and is working now but figure should probably lube up somehow before putting back to car

Thank you but i guess replacing a seal is the way to go instead of tape. Though if there's is no seal available i would also try the tape

how many exact ratio washer fluid and distilled water mix for bmw E90? I heard that Full tank reservoir was 4.5-5L right?

I cleaned mine which wasn't working but with 12v it runs with a pulse I tried with a 19v adapter it runs, please help

This would be a lot better if you could buy a replacement rubber grommet. If anyone knows where to find one it would be cool.

Mine make that sound but I disconnect the hose to see what happened and there were no water come out. what do you think should I do in the pump?.

I just had driver-side window replaced after a break-in. '09 Civic 4-door.

Immediately after the repair my washer fluid would not spray as the motor was completely dead. Coincidence or could the window repair guy have messed up a connection when inside the door?
