Phoenix Miner 5.0b Update DAG Fix For 4GB MINING?

IMPORTANT! All owners of AMD cards with 4 GB RAM must upgrade to PhoenixMiner 5.0b or later version to continue mining after DAG epoch 350 (i.e. about the start of June 2020 for ETC, and the middle of July 2020 for ETH).

Changes in version 5.0b (since 4.9c):

- Added support for mining with 4 GB AMD cards beyond the DAG epoch 350. Depending on the OS and driver versions, you will be able to use 4 GB AMD cards until epoch 372-373 under Windows, and 380 under Linux.
- Added support for latest AMD drivers 20.4.2 under Windows and 20.10-1048554 under Linux
- Many other small improvements and fixes

Still have 5 x RX570 4g cards running on claymore in windows. These were mining specific cards from an antminer g2 that had a bad motherboard. We'll see how long that lasts. Great info!!

@RedPandaMining linux driver i dont remember which (but one works 100%) rocm or amd-pro linux driver can work with 4gb+ opencl files no problem on AMD

What I do know about the 4gb card in the second slot to mine eth is this. A few weeks ago, my mining rig (running windows 10) had a 580 8gb in the first slot and a 560 4gb in the second slot and both cards where able to mine ethereum just fine. I then got a 570 8gb and put it in the second slot and moved the 560 4gb to a pcix1 slot with an adapter board. Once I fired the computer back up and all cards were recognized and running, the 560 could no longer mine ethereum. After seeing this video, I'm tempted to swap the 570 and 560 positions to see if I can get all three cards to mine ethereum.

It is true. There is 4GB limit on AMD card. If AMD will support mininig they will probably put secret drivers.

My rx 550 4gb is mining ethereum just fine. (Dag at 4111 mb) but phoenix miner will not let the rx 550 build the dag for the 2gb card in the 3rd slot. I was hopeful it would work, but seems it will not.

i havent test the larger than 4GB file thing yet
so i cant say if it does it in compute mode or not
but as he said it can be fixed thru the driver
and compute mode was literally created for this type of situation, to solve mem aloc issues graphical workloads dont currently exp

For me dag size shows more 6gb+ in each card I am running

It will be fixed before that happens. Claymore if not AMD will fix the dag size issue.
