I have a few tips for you. the reason why you did not see your vignette was because you had applied it on the bottom layer. always remember layers are like pieces of papers sort of. if you apply an effect to the bottom layer and theres an exact layer on top of it you are not going to see it. you have to apply it to the top most layer. And second another suggestion is NEVER do any adjustments on your original layer. Whenever i open up a picture i ALWAYS duplicate the layer and start from there.

Hello there, have you considered "photo SFX art" (google it)? There you will find a useful free video showing the way to create fantastic pictures. This made it easier for Matt to shoot pictures which have a wow-effect after you take a look at them. Hopefully it will help you as well.
