As an Indonesian...i kinda chuckled for this would be what Indonesians do if we didnt have our nature. In here, deepfried battered banana + choco filling is quite common (we called it as Piscok - Pisang Coklat). Its cheap (20 cents-ish) delicious, and in some occasions included as snack for formal meetings, or just your neighbourhood events.

The regional fair has deep fried Oreos. It sounded disgusting to me. I lost a bet with my friend and took a bite and it was heaven, but I promise you could only eat two or three.

That study kinda confuses me on its premise. Who in their right mind would eat a deep fried candy bar for breakfast? I know us Americans eat pop-tarts and sugar cereal for breakfast but not even we would deep fry a snickers for breakfast. It's a once in a lifetime food, you're not supposed to include it in your diet at all.

In nz you can basically ask any fish n chip shop to deep fry whatever you feel if you have what you want fried at the time but deep frying choc is normal. I like deep fried milky bar
