Connecting levels via blueprints, would be a good addition to unreal engine. Now, I'm going to forever want that feature in Unreal.
Thanks, Game Guru Max . Grrr. 😂

Glad you are covering it again. I think people need to realize that making it simple for enthusiast developers is not an easy task. Unreal and Unity or other platforms are unlimited with their potential but be prepared to lay at least 5 to 10 years of your life to make something significant, not to mention 1 person making a game is nearly impossible in those ( unless it is a passion project and not next best seller ) too much negative reviews drive off people who are interested in some quick creative way of making something fun without strings attached.

Not everything has to be made for professionals first and enthusiasts later. That is not to defend by saying you can make the next Crysis with this, it just means that you can do a fun project that might be worth money without spending dozen years on it. The basics are there and graphics are decent.

Overall always depends on people's choice so cannot judge those who think it is not worth same as those who praise it a bit too much. It is simply decent enough on its own for certain FPS types of games.

Thanks again for the vid. ; )

I may get it if it ever goes on sale for $10, just for something fun to play with.

Theres no right or wrong when it comes to engines, only advantages and disadvantages. FPSC Black Ice and GG are good starting points to get you comfortable with game dev and to build that confidence up. But once youve evolved more as a game developer, thats when you should move onto other engines that are more flexible and powerful.

I sure you could sell good story based world based games in Guru! I've sold games in RPG Maker MV and this is so much more realistic.

🤔 GamesFromScratch doesn't wanna do things "from scratch" 🤔 LOL. Just kidding! Good coverage, thanks!

Yeah, I guess I can see what the comments are saying. Like they all say below it seems to be for selling DLC because GAmes From Scratch does never even nearly show an actual produced game from this, and especially NOT with characters on scene. So it's a Clone game producer I suppose- is that it? Also- how much did developers Venmo to GaFrSc for to put this videos on here? Yeah.... that's the end right there==== $180 for all the DLC and you can't make it do without bugs either. Fortnite Creative 2.0 is free-- MantiCORE is free--and all those other Sooo many more.

I’m looking for the best easy 3d game creator. I thought I found it, but the comments here aren’t too positive. So, what should I use? I just want to be able to easily import assets and animations and make ‘em move

I don't really understand who this is aimed at.

The graphics in that sample look like something from 2008, at best - with the right assets maybe you could push it further, but that seems besides the point of an 'easy to use' engine like this with it's own marketplace. Then, as soon as you have write lua to create anything other than their stock game types, you may as well be using a real game engine.

So, maybe this would be a good sandbox tool for kids / teenagers? That would make sense, except their Steam page says:

"GameGuru MAX [...] provide[s] an easy to use, off the shelf solution to quality, commercial game development"

Don’t forget that nothing worth doing is ever easy. GameGuru is a good learning tool, not a game engine. $80 for this is fraud. That is a deluxe AAA game price for two sticks and a rock. You should realistically use the knowledge you gain from GameGuru to go on to other engines like Unreal or Unity once you're more comfortable with game dev.

Proper game dev on GameGuru is actively discouraged by its devs. So if you release a game using it, you will be witch hunted into silence by Lee's 40 alts. In other words, stick to GameGuru Classic, or even FPSC Black Ice, since they are much better and cheaper tools to learn game dev. Classic is usually $5 with 5 DLCs duck taped to it and Black Ice is free.

Anyone know how to turn down the mouse sensitivities inside the game in the terrain editor?

The developer has never brought in gameplay elements, where is the day night cycle? Where is the game play elements, you can't easily make your character shoot custom projectiles, have customized weapons, no vehicles or vehicle framework, nothing but reworking the graphic engine ad nauseam.

Stay away, these people never complete a product. I had Game Guru years ago, they abandoned it and started this for a new price....They do this often. I beleave these people also made Realm Crafter. Dont trust them...
