For all you YJ guys out there, can use same year of grand shaft to replace your 2 peice with a 1 peice shaft, just like the TJ shafts do in your d30/d44 just gotta yardsale that tone ring

PSA: on a 1989 XJ you will need to remove the speed-sensor ring with a pulley/gear puller. AND you will need to remove the grease-nipple on the bottom ball joint.

Have to reinstall the grease-nipple after inserting the new axle but BEFORE installing the wheel hub. It's a pain in the ass, but seems to be worth it... no more binding on sharp turns.

A u-joint will let you know when it’s going out, having to replace axles because the boot tore and slings grease everywhere including on your brakes is something I’d prefer to not deal with. I’ve only replaced a few u joints due to failure and it was giving me signs

Just used them in my 96 XJ on 35s ran all of rubicon with them didn’t break them and didn’t have any binding issues the only thing I’m noticing is I’ve got a gear oil leak coming from both sides I did install a seal refresh kit from Yukon before going on the trip maybe it’s the seals fault or maybe a issue with the shaft swap don’t know, eventually it’ll leak enough out to not leak anymore 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

I got one that keeps binding up on my zj, it's a quad trac, warranty voided out the gate
