You heat the food first and put in the container to keep it hot. A tip is to let hot water sit in the container for a few minutes, empty the water, and put in the hot food. That will heat up the container.

My brothers a JR in high school in SWFL and they started the metal detectors in the middle of the school year last year.

Hopefully Ellie will have a great sophomore year. It's crazy that there are metal detectors. There's another county in Florida that I used to live in the same way with Ellie's school but not just one but about 36 schools have them.
