Game is Uncrashed FPV simulator (on Steam), the best of the best. The dark themed UI is a study in great game UI design; the game loads levels blazingly fast, and the levels are expansive.

This level is my favorite, The Docks.

You'll see me fly it over and over because it's the last level I can still see (I'm blind flying to a 42" TV), and because the girder structures are like gymnastic pommel horses that I can sharpen my skills on like a knife on a whetstone. Here, I'm not doing anything elite, just enjoying myself and having fun to a 1920's playlist.

Lugus Studios (Liftoff) and Batcave Games (Velocidrone) are royal dicks who don't give two shits about visually handicapped people. I asked both of them very politely and nicely to make a few tiny changes to their user interfaces for visually impaired people, like bolding and darkening their menu text, or providing an alternate for color blind people, and they both told me to go fuck off in no uncertain terms.

SO phuck those two games. I can't recommend them any more. I learned to fly in Liftoff, and Velocidrone has a ton of maps, but at the end of the day, wow, Uncrashed just smokes both of them for flying experience and speed. Within 20 seconds of clicking the icon on my desktop I can be in the sky. The other two take... several minutes twiddling your thumbs waiting on it all to load up. It's so bad, for no other reason, You'll switch too. It's not worth the pretty but glacially slow interface (Liftoff) or lots of home made levels (Velocidrone). I dont' fly either any more, and it stopped way before both companies ticked me off.

DRL (Drone Racing League FPV SImulator on Steam) is now free, I guess it's worth it at that price, but I can't recommend it for anything but learning to race. It's not useful to me for freestyle.

There is also Tryp and FPV Skydive. Worth checking out but I can't recommend them. Installt hem, maybe they will improve more over time.


Baldwell is an FPV televangelist con man flooding the hobby with noobz for his own enrichment like an evil kindergarden teacher and sucking away their dollars from them with his Patreon Death Star/ Of course he's affable and likable and you think he's your friend. All successful con men are. But all likable affable people are not con men.

Truth to power. I'm acerbic and I'll etch your PC boards like acid, but you can count on me to point out the elephants in the room.

Your enemies will tell you what you want to hear and that your brilliant and yes, those bat wings you built are great and I'm rooting for you, jump off that tall building. Choppergirl will ltell you all about gravity and what will happen if you do, and tell you it's a bad plan. You'll hate her for it now, and probably worse later after you break your face. But I try. You know, I try. I don't strive to be friendly, I strive to be right. My intentions are in the right place, you just won't always like my delivery :) Sometimes, okay , a lot of the time, truth sucks!

Sick of all the toxic bro culture in this hobby and aviation in general. Get down with the Girl Rebellion. You can be a guy, I don't hate anybody for their gender, but don't be a bro,. Get that skater boi influence and talk out of my airspace before I flame you into a smoking crater.

Choppergirl don't rip anything, I don't burn any packs, and that's not a Power loop, it's called an inside loop... and that's not a Matty Flip, it's half an outside loop and called an English Bunt.

Get yoru FPV history right CurryKitten... the Periscope was the first FPV device... and cameras on the Saturn V Apollo missions... as well as early ascii text video games (aka Colossal Caves) ... predated kwad kludging idiots with ducttape and sticks by.. a lot.
