Square Weaving Loom

In this video, I show how to use a square weaving loom to make a pot-holder shaped item. I call it pot-holder shape because I'm using fabric loops that aren't suitable as an actual pot-holder, but they make great coasters!

I appreciate you showing how to secure the end bind off. So many professionals forget this step.

Thank you so much for this!!! I just went to hobby lobby to get crafts for my mom and a weaving potholder loom was one of the three i got, it had been a couple years since i had done any type of weaving because it was something my nana showed me (she died of cancer in 2022 sadly... RIP for her.) and my mom wanted to teach me!! So we got a metal weaving loom and some of the elastic loops. But i had never really been good ag crocheting and watchign you do it twice has REALLY HELPED! Thank you!!

I’m so thankful to find this. I was trying to finish a potholder my granddaughter did and wasn’t sure on the box directions for tying it off! Great job! I do use for pot holders. They’re my favorites & lots of memories!

My wife just bought this WonderLoom for my 6 year old and I had clue how to do it! Thank you so much for posting this. We all learned how to crochet!

These were very common in the 50s/60s, but they never needed to be doubled or insulated. I wonder if there's a difference. I'm not sure if we used cotton or wool.

The way you bind off edges in this craft reminds me of how a bind off is achieved in Tunisian crochet.

How would I weave a single letter like A or M or even an S? I'd prefer assigned coasters in my family and I'd like to know how to... I just got started in this and am almost overwhelmed by how much there is lol.

11/3/17 Walmart sells the loom/loops. When I was a kid, we used a larger loom.
