In my experience with gig working and instacart shopping, the tips tend to be better with shopping apps. I guess people appreciate you doing the headache of shopping as opposed just picking up some fast food for them.

Bella does a lot of Costco orders! She got pretty darn close to that $10k . Where I shop we don't see tips like that. Location is truly everything!

It’s possible depending on your market. When I worked all day everyday I would have 300 dollar days or more. You would have to be strategic in the orders you pick and be able to navigate the stores efficiently. This was back in 2019 2020 when it wasn’t as saturated in my area as it is now.

Where my daughter is at. She consistently gets 40s and into the hundreds tips, she just got a $200 tip. It was a $235 order and where she's at. There are two to three other people that consistently get those large tip orders. I'm in Texas and they don't tip here. Very rarely do I see a $70 order?

I knew when a Macy's office in NYC wanted their deliveries and would always make sure to be in the area and active for that time. The tip was $100 each time and I'd shop in Costco and walk across the street to their loading elevator with 2 carts. Same for Jet Blue and some start ups in Queens.

I've done Instacart for 2 years in Michigan and Ohio and their batch payments are really a joke-- they will pay you only $7-10 sometimes even up to 3 batches in one! Tips in my area are not that good. The tips range from $2-$50. But catching a good $30+ is rare around here. The most I ever made in one day from like 10am until 9 pm was like $120. So I don't feel like her wages are normal in the Midwest.

I just started Instacart last week and her videos and yours were recommended. She actually lives near where I grew up in Virginia and it’s really nice housewife area. I moved to Texas but I wish I would’ve started before I moved. It’s all about the market. All the stores she goes to like restaurant depot, Costco, bjs within 15 miles from me so it’s always booming here

You missed one on your needed items for side hustle grocery driving and that is a small foldable dolly, water is the corner stone of grocery driving, helps A LOT

The shopping really depends. I do spark driver app for Walmart and they have shop and deliver orders. Yesterday I did 2, first was about 20 items and too me 8 min to shop (it was all grocery) and delivery was 2 miles away. It paid $22. The second was 2 items in electronics and took about ten min, order paid $16.

Hi Mike nice video. I do instacart on a daily basis and everyday I get a least one order tipping over $60. I do mostly wholesale stores which are more likely to have this tips. My highest order was from docks sporting goods for $239 with a $229 tip.

I’ve done Instacart now off and on for about 4 mos jn the Vancouver Wa ( across the river from Portland, OR) area. Never seen tips like these. I might pay a bit more attention based on this video though and turn the app on more often. DD, UE’s, and GH have certainly paid me better for the invested time- which are truly side hustles on weekends mainly since I work a normal M-F job

I call BS. It takes so flipping long even when you know the store extremely well. Customers are awful at providing substitutions or communicating and that eats away at your time. NO ONE tips like that here. I’m lucky to get the tip they initially offered. We still aren’t seeing the mileage/gas she’s spent.

I make in between 40 and 60 an hr. I only work 3 days a week and average 500 a week. it's different for every individual. Maybe your area isn't as busy as others. And if I go back to Lyft that's a guaranteed 2k a week.

This doesn't seem real. I've been a full time driver on apps and worked Instacart for 2 years. It could be the marketplace but I'm having a very hard time believing this at all. Instacart only worked out for me once that I got an $80 tip. Typically the orders are low paying and take way too long to be profitable with the shopping and delivery. If the orders were pre shopped this would be more believable.
