This drama should be ✨THE STANDARD✨.
It’s single-handedly proving that a somewhat cliché setting doesn’t have to mean lazy writing with naive/ toxic characters and unnecessary plot twists in order to be entertaining. The female lead is bubbly and still (!) has a backbone, the male lead may be a bit reserved, but he’s still kind and acts upon his word. Even the best friends are surprisingly well-rounded people. Big shoutout to the writers for this intelligent, wholesome and beautiful depiction of high schoolers‘ first loves and friendships! Really hope they’ll keep this up and set an example for future c-dramas💛💪🏻


Also: Their OST is absolutely amazing - normally it isn’t my cup of tea but these c-indie and pop songs I‘d genuinely listen to!

The Fl, Su Zai Zai is so good with words. She stands up for herself, she is fair and uses just the right words in the right situation in the right tone. The ML, Zhang Lurang doesn't say much, but what he says and does is always perfectly to the point. And his smirk... I love this series. So sweet.
