Zendaya Supported Tom Holland When He Met Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield

When Tom Holland met Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, Zendaya backed him up.

It's natural if you're the modern-day Spider-Man and you're nervous about meeting your Marvel franchise forefathers. Zendaya, Tom Holland's girlfriend, was a great antidote to his worries.

In a virtual interview with Deadline on Wednesday, the actor joined fellow Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to discuss their work together in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home. Holland said during their conversation that he was worried about meeting the two actors on set, and that to help ease his worries, he requested the help of costars Jacob Batalon and Zendaya to keep him company on their first day. "I had invited Jacob and Zendaya to come with me to our first rehearsal to just sort of be there as like, my support system," Holland explained. "Like, 'I'm going to meet these guys, and I'm so nervous.'"

Holland went on to say: "'We have to read the scene, and I'm not sure how this is going to go because we're all playing the same character, and we're all putting our hearts and souls into it, and it means a lot to them, and it means a lot to me.' On the first day, Jacob and Zendaya were present."
