unfortunately i got hit by a car a month ago incredibly lucky to have survived. (totalled a car but no broken bones) and wish i had genuinely taken your advice sooner. i was going to give the other insurance company a written statement when i realized that i should ABSOLUTELY find an attorney to help me with that as i am not required legally to give one. turns out, the company was so eager to get one from me in hopes that i would avoid finding a lawyer, and they can low-ball me on what i'd be owed. one of the most famous firms around here locally that had won a $100M lawsuit for something incredibly similar last year had sent me letters advising me to get free consolation, and i had just finished that a moment ago. here's to hoping things pan out guys. thank you Mike for reminding me for years of rights and laws i wasn't even aware of.

A 20 year old male purposely crashed into me causing severe damage to my car. He made eye contact as he continued to forcefully back into my driver side. He broke my mirror and damaged my front driver side door and back left passenger side. I’m not sure what to do. I feel like this needs to go to court. The driver was unlicensed. And he also left the scene of the crash.
