I watched about 12 videos on how to export fbx with blender animation (some more than 2 times)... yours was the only one that worked... congratulations and thanks.

Hey! When importing your skeleton, applying rotation or transformation can sometimes cause issues. To fix this in Blender, press Ctrl + A and choose "Rotation." The animation already has a 90-degree rotation, but if you don't apply it, you lose that rotation when exporting!

You don't need to change the rotation for Mixamo animations or any other animations, You can import the Mesh With Animation at once, BUT before, you need to CHANGE tha name ARMATURE to any other name, and everything will work just fine by default. It took me a couple of days to figure out what caused problems with my animations after importing. Only the name Armature is the problem with Unreal 5 and Unreal 4

You sir. With your timing... I literally was looking for good tutorial for this like 2days ago, and had to go to some dark places. And TODAY you decide to post this? Still, amazing work, your tutorials are very helpful. Keep it up mate.

Question that is a chain question. Can you import smoke, hair, explosions, particles, etc animation from Blender into UE5 as simply? If I had a tornado of dust and broken houses swirling around or non-animated fur ball (like 2 frames and looped) - would it be the same process even though technically there isn't much of a "mesh" ? New to UE5 but have been a Blender user for years.

If your mesh is missing with the animation, import the mesh anyway with the animation and it should work.

Hi, I follow your instruction, but when importing to UE there is no "Swat_guy_skeleton" for my fbx. Do you know how to solve it?
Thanks in advance

Its amazing how much junk a blender project can have that will conflict with the output of the fbx. I was debugging why my animations were not coming over. Turns out there was extra models inside the same file hidden as the 'old' versions probably due to this model being a remake.

I'm having an issue when importing my animation. I have the export settings just like yours in the video, but when I import it into unreal, my mesh is the right size but my animation is really small and facing the wrong way. Do you have any suggestion on where I may be going wrong?

When I import my animation, my character doesn't move the arms and legs, is my rig not compatible?
