“Dancing With Myself” Billy Idol (Generation Sex)

Here’s Billy Idol singing “Dancing With Myself” at last night’s Generation Sex (Generation X / Sex Pistols combo) concert at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood. Billy Idol, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Tony James were on fire!!!! Especially Paul Cook! Holy moly, he’s an awesome drummer! And Steve Jones’ guitar skills are outrageously excellent. This was the first time I saw Tony James play live; he was solid and powerful. And Billy Idol was loving every moment. He put in 200% for the audience and still looks cool as f***!

Pat Smear (Foo Fighters), Fred Armisen (SNL), and Jamie Oliver (UK Subs) were in the heaving audience having a great time.

KLOS 95.5 put the night on - they had over 4,000 listeners apply for their ticket give away in just 2 hours. A handful were emailed back saying they were successful, and boy did they enjoy the night!

Record collecting last year found Don't Stop which included a Gen X 12" single Loopy Dub -Ugly Dub (Idol/James) along with other Billy Idol albums, thought whatever, who's this James character, turns out its Tony James from Sigue Sigue Sputnik whom I was a huge fan of back in the day, this is all new to me.
