The Canyon Neuron 6 was the by far the fastest bike we rode in our value trail bike head to head test. That said, it was also the least forgiving, and it was a fine line between ripping through switchbacks and ending up on the ground!

I bought this exact bike in this exact color earlier in this year on sale for $1, 999. I've got about 800 miles on it and it's been great. I ride it pretty much like an XC bike, and even did a 50 mile XC race on it. It pedals fast, handles well, and is just light enough to get away with putting down some serious miles. The reason I got the Neuron and not the Lux or another XC specific bike was mostly comfort - I've got shoulder and wrist issues and the more upright seating position plus the longer travel has been a game changer.

I’m undecided between the neuron cf8 and the lux trail cf8 I live in Florida our trails are a bit more xc which has always been my style but this seems a lot more versatile for the money, I just don’t want to lose the speed I felt I had in my hard tail

I have the previous generation Neuron, 2022 CF8 model. Lovely bike, definitely is very fast. It comes with the same tires and I am thinking about putting on something grippier.

Great review. Thanks for taking the time. Im considering jumping into M TB soon. I'll admit, I'm a Canyon fanboy. With that said, im looking for a bike i can use to claim dirt road service, come down, hill trails. Nothing crazy like you guys showed in this video. Would this bike fit my needs?

Currently the lux trail CF 6 has a sale and shares the same price as the new Neuron 6. Which bike would you recommend for normal trails?

My only problem with this bike is it needs a bigger gear. I am spinning out on flat ground and I’m a beginner rider.

The silliest thing ever when some bike reviewers say: this bike is fast, as if the bike is driving itself and the rider and his power output totally irrelevant... come on how much did Canyon pay you?
