I reckon newer toyotas are pretty slick looking vehicles. I was eyeing up a hot looking hatchback the other day and was amazed to discover it was a Corolla.

I called an Uber once, and this was the car that showed up. When we tried to get into the back seat, we couldn't find the door handle until after the driver pointed it out!

I see those here in the U.S. quite often. I didn't know they were selling this model in Japan. Usually they don't sell U.S. models in Japan.

I recently read an article that suggested that one big reason that Japanese car owners purchase new cars frequently is due to Shaken (the automotive inspection process) in Japan which can get quite expensive depending on the age of the car and in many cases it makes better financial sense to purchase a new car rather than upkeep an old one. Since I am not Japanese and know nothing of how it works in Japan, I can only assume the article was factual?

Thanks for addressing the used car market! I asked a question about it on your dog video. Looks pretty nice, wish it came in AWD because I'd get one! Been looking for a Toyota! (Heard they last a long time.)

Love my 2008 Toyota Prius. Just under 80, 000 miles and gets great gas mileage. As an accountant, new cars aren’t worth the money to me. I’ll keep this one another 10 years.

a SUV and compact design mix, (its generally affordable) with 4 cylinders and 1.8 to 2 L depending where you live.. no wonder some private drivers used it (uncommon to so common) as their personal/ ride sharing car.. one time a passenger/rider tried to get in a C-HR car (while commuting) out of nowhere, the driver refused to let the rider in & and told the rider the car has no private hire label in it lol

I think it's toyota's take on the nissan juke.

@1:18 Maybe it’s the colour but I am getting a strong Pikachu vibe at the back end.

Do the Japanese tend to drive more manual cars, or autos?

second hand cars are cheap in japan but the shaken is very expensive. so you might as well buy a new one...

Don't even talk about accidents or fender benders! I don't think the Japanese like to drive damaged goods! A Naval officer bought a cosmetically damaged one year old Subaru Legacy for $500. The car I have now is 16 years old! I do the mechanical work on it, and I don't do accidents!
