I've tested all the options and they seem to work but the freezer still isn't cooling. The gasket is in poor shape but sealing... what's your opinion?

How to set temperature...it keeps beeping

@MclaurenF1, Sorry to hear freezer is not working.

Typically if a freezer gasket is actually bad you will see frost and ice build up around the areas it’s bad/leaking air…if you aren’t seeing that frost ice around door edges that either means the gasket is sealing well and you can look elsewhere

or the freezer is not cold enough, which a thermometer or the temp read out on your fridge can tell you.

This reply below assumes 2 things

1 you have a Liebherr refrigerator and

2. that “tested all the options” means you have confirmed both fridge and freezer evaporator fans motors are definitely working.

I would start here if my freezer wasn’t cooling

One of the main ways we verify the compressor and sealed system is definitely working correctly…Is to look at something called a” frost pattern “

With the refrigerator running or preferably in a test mode 1 or 2 (low 1 or high speed 2 ) it will run only the compressor

Remove the shelving and freezer rear panel (covering the freezer coil ) and visually observe the freezer coil

While compressor is running the coil should not be aluminum colored but almost white in appearance

A coil that is white from top to bottom with minimal frost means compressor and refrigerant are likely doing their job and you can look elsewhere

If compressor running for extended 20-30 mins and only top is white and not bottom that indicates May have restriction, leak, or inefficient compressor

If coil is completely frosted/iced over, then you will need to run forced defrost load test #4 to verify defrost system …if defrost system heater runs then you can melt out all ice and rub the machine to see if it actually freezes after melting ice

If the ice comes back/or it’s still not cold enough despite having a full frost pattern …you likely need the “freezer room and freezer evaporator coil thermistor kit” and “main relay control board”

If defrost heaters do not run in Load test 4 …Liebherr has a defrost heater kit.

Hopefully this helps get you to the next step
