Chrono trigger was the initial game that got me into emulation a long time ago, over ten years. Back then i found fantasy anime which still has great tutorials. Glad your vids are just as helpful.

Something to add: If you're having trouble with mapping your controller inputs, make sure your controller is connected _before_ you start SNES9x up or it will get funky and not detect/map the way it should. I almost had a stroke with my PS5 controller, but sifted around and found that information out. Great guide, thank you for such a detailed explanation.

I know at the end of the day this doesn't matter, but it would be kinda nice if it had a game selection screen with cover art like you can do in Duckstation and PCSX2.

Still this is a great guide, assuming it's still up to date. Your PS1 and 2 emulation guides really helped, and so does this.

PSA: the SNES9x source code is available and free for picking at. We need someone to compile the latest version (1.6x) for Mac OS 9, specifically PPC and to be run on an iMac G3. OS X PPC also welcome. The reason being, the mouse cursor is broken on the last version for PPC. Games like Mario Paint will not work correctly as the mouse cursor gets stuck mid screen, thinking that it has hit the edge when it has clearly not. The latest version of SNES9x has fixed this issue, but no one has taken the time to compile it for PPC. A version for the Wii would also be a welcome addition, so if anyone has the knowledge/skill to compile it for OS 9, OS X(ppc, not intel), and Wii, the community would be very grateful!!!
