Показать описание
Elon Musk shares some of the qualities that helped him get to billionaire status which for many people this quality will be enough to throw in the towel. But if you are one of the select few, learning this secret will excite you! Thrill you! and get you ready to start achieving your dreams.
Compared to Warren or Vanderbilt the young business mogal may look shabby but a 13 billion net worth is still quite the accomplishment especially if completed by the age of 44. This man blew me away because he has dabbled in several kinds of business and turned a wild profit in several different fields. Let’s name a few:
Zip2, a web software company, his brother and him started borrowing 28,000 dollars from his dad to do so! They ended up eventually selling the company for 307 million dollar.
Paypal, an online payment service which he sold to Ebay.
SpaceX, a company that will bring out the inner child of just about anyone who looks into it. A company dedicated to making space travel affordable.
Tesla, bringing sexy and electric car together like no one else has. (My persona dream vehicle)
Solarcity, an alternative energy company helping instal solar panels for the average home but has customers even as large as Ebay.
Elan started his childhood afraid of the dark… Which looking back now it’s hard to imagine him being afraid of anything. He overcame this fear when he realized darkness was just the absence of light and it seemed pretty silly to young Elan to be afraid of something so simple.
Raised in South Africa he was your classic nerd, reading always and being picked on for his vivacious need for knowledge. He read everything he could get his hands on, comic books, fiction, non fiction at one time he ran of things to read so he even read the encyclopedia!
As a youth some bullies had it out for musk and beat him to the point of sending him to the hospital. He even had to have surgery on his nose in order to correct many of the damages they did.
At 17 he moved to Canada attending university there but then transferring to Stanford/ He considered the United States as the land where dreams really do come true so he did everything possible to make sure he could get there. While in school he would not attend class but read the textbook and only came for test days but still excelled having an incredible memory.
His brother also moved to Canada from South Africa and they would read the newspaper together making note of the people they wanted to meet and then had the audacity to actually call these people to see if they could do lunch with them. Some people were so taken aback by these two random kids calling them out of the blue that they actually agreed to the lunch invitation.
He dropped out of college though to start his own company with the rationalization he could always come back if his company didn’t work. But his companies did work and in a big way.
You see one of the things Elan Musk attributed his large amounts of success to is work. Lots of work. Specifically he said if one wants to be successful they need to be willing to put in more hours than anyone else. Consider the man who works 40 hours a week as opposed to the one who works 100 hours a week. The man who works 100 hours a week will get done in 3 months what takes the other man a year to complete.
When Elan Musk started one of his first businesses with his brother he tells how they had so little money they rented an office space and both slept there taking showers in the local YMCA. Trying to support his companies website Elan said “the website was up every day,and I spent the nights just coding it.”
“We worked every waking moment but we loved it. If you love what you are doing you think about it more then just when you are at the office,” Explained Elan.
