My mind is blown🤯, I watched gumball and have been thinking about the void myself(well not rlly) but the way you put this into makes sense, rob was really trying to help them, the void is just another dimension(as you said) and is like the 4th wall or something, and im amazed by this theory, just, everything makes sense. My theory about Box squid, he's died and no longer appeared in cafeteria (expect "The World" after episode Halloween, he's probably twin brother or Clayton in disguise)
Every characters in cafeteria doesn't have names in canon lore (confirmed by 8-Bit Dog)
Hot dog guy has own trilogy
8-Bit Dog got three speaking roles (four, if you count Gumball's chronicles)
Fuzzball got major role in "The Extras" and then disappeared (he also appeared in early reel 2008)
Mushroom got redesign and being around sometimes
Green Bear also being around (even referred himself as female in Trawlr, what a weirdo.)
Blue wig disappeared from existence
Box squid is ghost (not sure if they same characters)
