The most grueling part about the NBA is the 82 game season. An average of 3 games a week. I can't imagine the physical toll that takes...especially when you count post-season games.

I understand the Black Mamba started using a heli to get to games the last few years of his career in order to avoid traffic in L.A., but that's the difference between being great and being a legend. Furthermore, Kobe's shoot arounds before games, especially on the road, were notoriously long. I could argue that when compared to legends he's not giving the extra time to his craft. Video
