Korean Fried Chicken
Ingredients

For the Marinate Chicken
3 lb whole chicken, cut into 25 to 30 pieces
8 to 10 cloves garlic
1 oz ginger
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 Tbsp black pepper
1/4 cup soju, white wine, non flavored vodka or milk

For the Batter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp curry powder
2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp sugar
1/4 to 1/3 cup cold water

For the Mustard Sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp light soy sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
2 Tbsp water

I really don't understand how some of you people can come to her page and leave negative comments about her recipes that she is generously giving to us if you don't like the way she's cooking or the seasonings she's adding start your OWN channel and put up your own recipes I won't be watching by the way I rather stay on this channel 2018 goals for you guys be less/or not negative towards others.

I'd like to give my honest review of this recipe. We were having guest over for dinner and I wanted to make something fun. I studied the recipe for a week before attempting to make it. I gathered up all the ingredients. I took careful steps to insure that I made it exactly like the video, I had the oil at the perfect temp, Well after all that... It was probably one of the best things I've ever made, served, ate. It was so good. So crunchy, the sauce so sweet and sticky. This is a home run recipe. And not very difficult at all. I will be making this often. It was also really fun breaking down an entire chicken. I cut out the ribs and sternum and wish bones to make it semi boneless. And since we were already frying I made some Hush puppies to go along with it which actually went pretty well. Thanks again.. Love this

I did it!! It was SUPER crunchy, and had the most flavor I've ever gotten out of a marinade for fried chicken. Better than buttermilk ( I used vodka, marinaded for 10+ hours). Smaller pieces are key. I'll get better the more often I make this, I'm sure. One of the best channels on YouTube.

I made this and OMG IT WAS SO GOOD. IT WAS PERFECTION. CRISPY, JUICY, TASTY. WOW. I WOULD POST MY PIC HERE IF I COULD.

I didn't have a thermometer but I put my heat on medium.

I marinated the chicken for around 4.5 hours
I made the tempura flour she mentioned (her recipe but doubled so I can have 1 cup for the batter)
I did what she did with the dry batter first, water after
I did half saucy and half non saucy! OMG


RED SAUCE FROM HER SITE:
2 tsp gochujang, Korean red pepper paste
1 tsp soy sauce
1 1/2 Tbs strawberry jam (you can substitute with any fruit jam/jelly)
2 Tbs ketchup
1 1/2 Tbs worcestershire sauce
2 Tbs sugar
1/4 cup water
2 cloves garlic, chopped


<33 Ate it with a can of cold beer on the side and my mom judging me for drinking so early in the day (2pm) but the chicken was good I didnt care
