Kodak is screwed. They will rip it up, drop the liabilities into a wholly owned subsidiary, give their execs bonuses and burn the name Kodak to the ground.

If Kodak goes down there really isn’t an option for decent cheap color film, even Gold and UltraMax are a bit pricey at around $9 for a 36 exposure roll, but that’s a lot better than the $12-$15 price that most other film companies choose.

I was given a K1000 a couple of weeks ago and will start shooting film soon, so I hope they make a positive change instead of running them into the ground like a lot of these corporations do, there have been outliers, and I hope Kodak is one of them. Maybe with more money they could make more effective lines, and reduce cost, I won’t hold my breath though.

In their defense, it would not have been sold if Kodak managed to adapt to digital because they could have afforded to keep everything.
