"The best translation is the one you have" is so liberating. I've been hearing a lot of things that point to the flaws in each translation, it's been low-key stressful to figure out which translation I SHOULD read - took me a minute to realize I fell out of practice reading the Bible period.

Mike, I appreciate you making your videos on the Passion Translation. Because I watched some of those and heard what the scholars said about it, I was able to relay that information to my mother-in-law just a few days ago when we were at a book store and she said she was interested in looking for a copy of the Passion Translation. After I told her a few of the red flags about the PT (like the "original Aramaic" claims), she said, "Okay, never mind. You've convinced me."

Before I was a legit
Christian growing up in the church, in high school, I started reading the passion translation and was really excited because I felt like I could understand what I was reading in the Bible for the first time but then I tried to bring the book to Bible study and had to ditch it because what it read and what other translations read was so different it made group reading difficult. Then I just had a bad feeling about it and stopped reading it.
