It’s heartbreaking that people have to do this and others to eat this just to survive.

In my country we don’t even have homeless people. My biggest culture shock is seeing homeless people in New York when I went there.

My family used to be much poorer when I was a kid, some days I only get to eat rice with fish sauce, or a river fish me or one of my family members caught, some lucky days I get to eat them with fried eggs. even back then there's no way I'd eat this. that's just me tho
